i dabbled in a bit of robotics in the 90's. the biggest problem for huminoid robotics is creating mechanical servos and drives that are powerfull enough to operate limbs and yet have little weight or power consumption. electroactive polymers look like a solution but its still the power. unfortunately we are not allowed to have uranium power cells walking around in public ;)
