I dunno, I think drugs are just a temporary escape from your problems just like booze. Trying it is no big deal, but doing it habitually means that there's something wrong emotionally/mentally with the person. Well, maybe except for the Dude, but we hardly know about his life.

due to family commitments i tend to smoke now by my self, last thing in the day, sitting on the steps to my front door with its great view across glasgows environs (i am not allowed to smoke inside anymore). i smoke because i enjoy it, and like many people who have a beer in the evening, it takes the edge of at the end of the day.
I do it because i want to and my dosage is under my control. I research the type of grass i am smoking to ensure i understand the recognised effects of the drug. many online arenas will provide this info for you and i think it is important you understand what you are taking. you wouldnt pour yourself a pint of wild turket would you? or maybe you would ...
like many other drugs, i find marijuana is best taken in a collective and merry atmosphere. if you tend to take it by yourself and stoke the pipe, i am not suprised you are not having good vibes at times.
one thing i have also found is people who have had a bad experience with drugs will never have a good experience because they have mentally tainted the experience. if you think you will shit yourself going on a rollercoaster, then you probably will if you do go on it!

I had a joint in holland a wee while ago, rolled by my brother in law (at 50% strength of his usual dosage i am assured) and was close to hallucinating by the end of it. i didn't totally enjoy it but it was an experience and now i know better. you need to be smart with any drug you take, be it legal or otherwise.

what am i trying to say? do what makes you feel good dudes, and dont worry so much about it imdo

I wish you smoked by the back door just so I could have posted a link to the credence song.

good for you. if you do ever want to dable again, i would strongly recommend avoiding the "guy in the pub" and grow it yourself. there is something deeply satisfying about watching your plant grow nice buds. and going back to what i said earlier, ,you can then decide what type of grass you want. there are plenty of varieties out there and all offer something different.
good luck dude, take her easy!

My first job was in Nitshill in Glasgow....every shop had steel barriers and the company I worked for had better security than some of the military bases I subsequently found myself on.

Mean, bitter, grey and very depressing as I recall!

I once went out with a girl from Bellshill....same sort of result really!

I'm sure it's better now.  ;D

I read into growing your own shit months ago; heard that was even more expensive than buying from a dealer for a year straight. If anything, I'll probably score some off of my friends. They're pretty chill dudes.

in my youth i managed to grow 3 plants every 4 months in a mini greenhouse (about the size of a washing machine), with strip lights and some miraclegrow, all for about ?30 and hidden away in my spare bedroom cupboard, and got maybe an ounce of enjoyable puff. i know a lot of places will say you need HID lights, hydroponics, etc. bollocks dude.

even better, if you live somewhere warm and sunny, just dig a hole in the ground and let it grow man, as the song says.
bumin' off your friends is also a perfectly dudely way of aquiring though :)

no, its not. ;D

i stay in a town called cambuslang which is south east of glasgow. the main street here is a typical glaswegian throughfare of pub, off-license, hairdresser, newsagent, pub/bookie on a re-occuring basis every block. oops, forgot take-away in that mix alternating between indian, chinese or chippie! christ what a shithole!

I suspect we should have researched the place before we bought our house, although it is in a nice area of cambuslang, the descrpency in price between it and similar ones in milngavie should have alerted us. doh!

I dont know if I agree with you 100% there dude. This is just like my opinion, but I don't think habitually using a drug means there's something wrong emotionally/mentally with a person. If you start to abuse the drug then yes, there is a problem. But like the Dude, if you use it in moderation there aint no problem! Like having an oat soda a couple times a week, or lighting up a jay here and there. But once its an addiction then like whoa man too far.
"Fuck it Dude, let's go bowling."

Leninrocks244

Yeah that's true Dude. You've got a point. But I don't see the true point in it. You do it to get over your problems and chill out, but you come out exactly the same once it's all over.

Judd Dude

It doesn't need to be the back door to be Creedence like, dig it man- "got to set down take a rest on the porch...imagination sets in, purdy soon I'm singin' doo dooit doo lookin out my back door!"
"Is this a... what day is this???"
