Thailand.
I had a coworker who went there with his girlfriend and they lived on the beach.
He actually just quit and stayed there for several months.
They took him back when he came home but he said it was paradise and he just didn't care about losing his job.
When it was time to leave he just said "fuck it".
Also yer money goes forever.

You been there?

No, but would love to, looks like a perfect hangout for a dude. Reminds me of Waikiki which I have been 10 or so times, Slacking heaven! ;D

BikerDude

You know I love my kids more than anything.
But this is one of those threads that just makes me Jones for the freedom I had when I was young.
To live on the beach in Thailand.
Now that is something to talk about when yer an old bastard.

It's late and I'm into the Makers Mark.
Peace out dudes.

Tried Jim Beam Black?  Mmmmmmm

Yeah it's good.
8 years aged. The white is 4.
They are the same except the aging and it's quite amazing the difference.
I've been digging the semi new Devil's Cut from Jim Beam.
It's a new process that extracts the bourbon that is in the wood after the barrel is emptied.
I sounds a bit odd but what you get is the equivalent of longer aged bourbon.
The character of the whiskey comes from the barrel. With the Devils Cut you get a whiskey that has the character of a premium aged bourbon but since it's actually only aged the same number of years as the regular stuff it's way cheaper.
Real nice stuff. A bit darker and 90 proof as opposed to the regular 80.
You chuck a couple cubes in it and sip it slow till the ice melts and opens it up.

One Canadian Rye to try is Tangle Ridge. Expensive but wow is that stuff good.

When I was 32 and living in the middle East with a very well paid and all the benefits of a fantastic contract...that's exactly what I did...I fucked off to thailand and MAlaysia for 6 months.

I ended up living on a peninsula that could only be reached by the sea  for 9 weeks...it was pure heaven....

ahhh the memories  ;D ;D 8)

WabiSabi

This is a thread that creates a certain longing for other days ...

Long nights in Phuket and Pattaya ... short days, mostly spent sleeping on the beach after sleeping in ...

Fuddgedaboutit!!!

Almost as good as whale song in a tub with candles and news about a recovered stolen vehicle.

Ahhhh ... back to joys of this world now.
