Sending him good vibes - anger would make things worse. But it is the moment when you think: what the fuck? 'Another one bites the dust'?
Especially when you had a friend suffering from a similar thing, practicing tai chi all her life - no help. Feels kinda strange. Still I also know someone who managed to survive and he is happily picking mushrooms in the forest, no fear of eating some poisonous stuff.
(Yes, it's a Slavic thing. Instead of buying mushrooms you take a chance.)
