FINALLY had a DUDE in my house who GOT IT!

i had thanksgiving at my house this year, a first as im not into holidays, throwing shindigs, socializing if its planned in advance and so forth.
but my mom couldnt get up the energy this year so i had it here and she invited a couple new to her area to come along and the husband walked into my dude space and just starting laughing til he nearly peed. it was AWESOME.
he took pics to send to his brother who is apparently also a DUDE and a huge TBL fan, and i tell you what, mang. It was REALLY REALLY NICE to have someone actually know why i have a framed photo of nixon bowling on my wall. Nice to have someone exclaim in happiness over my Lebowski book collection, and admire my robes, yes i showed a married man my closet.

the only thing i wish now is for more local DUDE friends, i didnt know how alone i was in my Dudeism outside the internet, and as a middle-forties stay at home mom i dont have many opp's to meet and entertain Dudes.
anyway, it was a great feeling, not being the only one in the room talking about TBL and Dudeism, and finally someone thought it was funny that my cat is walter and my dog is lebowski......
