Newly ordained Dudeist Priest, long time follower of takin' her easy. I'm a U.S. citizen and please abide if this is undude like but noticing that there's like a seriously lack of traditional orthodox dudeism in Ontario where my beliefs are legal, recognized, and protected, where my rights are known man.. It seems like there should be the option.

So throwing this out there man, whether it's interesting or not..

I realize that the dude is the dude no matter the setting, whether at a bowling alley, or a bar, in his private residence, or wherever man. The Dude abides, and so abiding is his dudeness, if I can get all philosophical for a minute.

But at the risk of sounding square...

I would like to try to establish a physical location, where those that feel the need for dudely fellowship  can come and abide as they wish.

A Dudeist Temple if you will, or a church if you're not in eastern things..

I probably lost a few of you there, and I understand why man, but not every gathering of like open minds can take place without a place to gather. There's still a world full of people man, and while a Dude doesn't convert, a dude doesn't preach, there are dudes out there that just aren't privy to all this new shit.

Does The Dude know he's a Dude if he's never heard the word? Or does he wander a world of nothing believers, and uptight in your face squares hiding the man he is inside so he doesn't get caught up in their games, doesn't become just another cog...? That's some heavy shit man, and in like just my opinion, a fellowship of the willing couldn't hurt to strengthen dudes as a whole.

So my question is this..

Any Canadian or just intelligent dudes out there know if something like this is like possible man?

Anyone know who I would have to contact to inquire, or just what like qualifies as a church or house of abiding in Ontario specificly? What sorta requirements I would have to meet to open one up?

As an aside, what do you think? Am I being undude? Should I just say fuck it and go bowling?

Welcome U.S./Canadian dude! How goes the Great White North? Pull up a rug and grab an oat soda!

I don't think it sounds undude at all. I would like to see something sprout up like that in the Philly suburb I live in. I think it would do my community some good. I can't help with any of the technicalities or location specific questions, Just thought I'd let you know that i don't think its undudely at all. There are some dudes who have a more negative view of organized religion than myself, and are against things like this, but if that's the case they can be non participatory dudes in this endeavor. Abide after all.
Abide, always Abide.

I dig this. If we stand a chance of having a real groundswell Canada might be our best home.
I lived in Canada for a couple years (Go Senators!) and found it the most Dudely of countries.
Heck they actually have a "Marijuana party". I mean a political party called the Marijuana party with equal time in debates and everything.

Cue music.
"Oh Canada....... etc" (National anthem)

Maybe coordinate with your local rider from that party.

Out here we are all his children

I suppose a dude hang-out would be cool...  any bowling alley would do. We should have a dude fest somewhere close to where I hang my hat...

FYI:  In Canada a dude has the option of 5-pin bowling.  Is such apocryphal?
Okay, Dude, have it your way.

5-pin is easier on the joints for us older cowboys... the balls are smaller and lighter than them huge ones south of the 49th parallel.  Before any of you dudes wanna make jokes about size, remember it's how you use'm. Anyhoo, labeling something "apocryphal" is not the parlance of our times, for reasons of - um... *sigh* - lost my train of thought there. But I like yer style dude...
