Donny, Employee of the Month, Sobchak Security

This is one of those what-have-yous that can never be proven but just make fucking interesting discussion.

1. We know Walter owns Sobchak Security (or at least a sign that states such).
2. We know Donny takes a lot of shit from Walter with an air of resignation.

3. Hypothesis:  Donny works for Sobchak Security (probably as the office manager/assistant). It's a two-man operation and when Walter doesn't work, the shop is closed, hence Walter and Donny have the same bowling schedule.  That would explain where Donny fits in. Perhaps the bowling team is even sponsored by Sobchak Security.

Consider:
3. Walter seems to know the most about Donny --- that he loved surfing..which is just the kind of limited info. a boss might know of an employee.

4. Walter seemed to know that Donny had no family when he died.

5. Walter took charge of Donny's arrangements..the assumption being he is paying the funeral tab. Perhaps feeling he owed Donny that much since he employed him.

6. Donny seems to take his cues from Walter despite the verbal abuse. ("Are they gonna hurt us, Walter?")  "Nazis, Walter?"  ... Walter soothes Donny's fear...."C'mon Donny, let's go get a lane."
An employee-boss relationship?
