"what if c-a-t actually spelled dog"? Revenge of the Nerds, Ogre getting high for the first time. Guess I'm just showing my age.

Never saw it. Also, stopped listening to popular music after the 70s. That's my age showing.

I do actually remember wondering at one time, what if each of us saw a different color when we looked at red? There's no way of knowing whether we see the same color because we've learned to call whatever color we're seeing "red."

What Have You:   I used to work in the world of print news (which is about to have its Chonson cut off)....anyway..at some hi-res magazine printers..the press crew has to take visions tests to see how well they perceive color based on a certain standard because apparently people see color in a slightly different way.  This is not Nam this is color printing.,.there are rules.    Far out, man..far fucking out.

Fuck an a, man. I did not know that. Is this related to color blindness, then? http://www.colblindor.com/2009/01/06/50-facts-about-color-blindness/

Yeah, I read the military looked for the color blind to be spotters since they could see snipers hiding in the trees. They could see the difference in the green color of the camouflage from that of the trees. I believe everyone sees colors differently.

Cool!

"Reverse color blindness test
Color vision deficient people have a tendency to better night vision and, in some situations, they can perceive variations in luminosity that color-sighted people could not. Only color blind people can actually read what is written in the picture below... That means, if you fail the test, you probably have the full range of color sensitivity that is attributed to color-sighted people."

More 111!
This from my brother Charlie. ;;D
This year we're going to experience four unusual  dates. 1/1/11, 1/11/11, 11/1/11, 11/11/11 and that's not all...Take the last two digits of the year in which you were born -now add the age you will be this year, and the result will be 111 for everyone...!! This year October will have 5 Sundays, 5 Mondays and 5 Saturdays.  This happens only every 823 years...

NO it doesn't!

I'm not going into the maths ...it would take too long....read this website....it explains it AND read the comments....http://www.geekosystem.com/5-fridays-saturdays-sundays-not-823-years/

Peace.
Love is like a butterfly it goes where it pleases and it pleases where it goes. :)

cckeiser

Ignoring that the web site shows 5 Fridays and not 5 Mondays, it is correct about the 823 years is not correct and I should have known that as I already knew about the 14 year cycle.
Shame on me!! :(
