What's your favourite beer dudes?

I used to only drink real ale... (that's the warm watery brown stuff you Americans don't understand until after your third pint!)  8)

I could never abide Lager....  shudder... then I lived in Germany and was swayed by their purity laws and the taste of the golden nectar that is Warsteiner... or wobbly as we knew it!

On to Bitburger... and Jever pils and Dortmunder and Weis Beir etc....all excellent brews and worthy of the name beer.

I now live in England and although some of the beers mentioned above are available  they are quite pricey and hard to come by. Therefore I drink that old stand by Stella Artois... (or Wife beater as it is known around the council estates of England) ... does the job and rather quickly too!

If out in my local then it's back to the real ale.

Would love to know what my fellow dudes imbibe....might even try a few if the recommendations are good enough!

Peace (hic).... ;D

I must say I'm more of a cider man than a beer man.  And, if I partake in a beer I usually sup from the bottle, something like a Sol or Corona for your mexican beer, with lime, or something else light, like a Bud or Rolling Rock as an american alternative to the me-hi-can.

Not too much of a real ale fan, but being a Kentishman I do anjoy a good Bishop's Finger, or the occasional offering from the Wychwood brewery.

I've had a few Bishops fingers in my time. Ooooh errr! Must be my Catholic upbringing...I seem to remember kissing a Cardinals ring as well!  :(

Anyhow enough of that! I detest American Budweiser...rice brewed headache making shit! Coors is good....love Corona (Mexican) and Sol is good too....but you don't need the poncy lime in the neck of the bottle! They do that in South America to keep the flies out and that's fine but not in UK!

I've never had that real cider stuff...scrumpy...I'm a bit scared of it to be truthful!

Scrumpy can be a bit of a biter, but as long as you stay away from Strongbow!  At the down-end of the scale, for cheap, mass-consumed cideryness I go for a Blackthorn, otherwise Green Goblin (formerly of Wychwood) is a nice one, or a good irish or sweedish cider works as a fruity little refresher.

Here in the Northwest we have a plethora of microbreweries... take your pick on beer styles.  I generally like porters or stouts, though our local brewery has an excellent Scotch Ale.
At least I'm housebroken.

This may make this old monk a heretic (Dude-atic?) but I dont like beer..i used to drink it but it was more a product of peer pressure..also my taste buds are just not in tune with hops I guess. I only like the pale stuff..and cant abide by the stouts and dark shit....  I'm now more of a red-wine or gin-and-tonic guy..and naturally Caucasians are mother's milk...

Guess it takes all kinds of drinks and dudes to help keep this durn human comedy perpetuating itself.

Stout and Lager I classify as different beverages entirely.
I like Guiness and lately I've been digging Landshark Island Lager.
Great for hot summer days. Very light and refreshing.

The Guiness is good with dinner. Chicken wings and pub fare.

Oh and there are others. Many others.

My taste in beer is fairly worldly for a Yank, which is both good and bad.  It's good because I get all the flavors I want from Stella Artois, Blue Moon, St. Pauli Girl, or Guiness; but it's bad because I work up one hell of a bar tab by the end of the day.  When I'm really slumming, it's hard to justify paying for the imported stuff, but with a few exceptions, I really, REALLY dislike domestic beers.

Warsteiner Dunkel all the way man. I'll drink Coors Light if I'm a lil broke and Keystone Ice or Light if I'm really in a tight spot, but that stuff is piss water dude.. purely utilitarian.

I'm not a huge fan of beer myself.  If I do grab a beer, I'm usually on a beach with a lime in it.

To what state of being is Dudeism trying to bring us? Just taking it easy, man.

By what means does Dudeism attempt do this? Abiding.

Guiness is good as dinner!

A whole meal in a glass.
