Car is rust coloured.

So I bought a classic mini a while ago, spent about ?2000 on repairs over the years, had some very good times these last few summers, but i got it back from its last M.O.T with the news that its rust coloured, and will need a further ?2000 spent on it for it to be road legal.

The problem is, i have ?20 in the bank. Most people I know are telling me to... *ahem*...put it out of its misery and buy a new car.

I don't want to. I'm reckoning I can get the bus and save the money. What would the dude do? Should I really have the car put down?

I tried that a year ago with a little Citroen AX....in the end she blew up after I'd spent a heap of clams on getting her through the MOT. Was without a car then for a while till I found a great little skoda Felicia on the internet...with nearly a years MOT and some Tax....400 quid...bargain.
