I've been banned from work for the next three days, so I'm definitely gonna be takin it easy and trying to limber up some....  Wish i had a white russian to help me feel better right about now.  :-p

Caesar dude

Oh mate....get better soon dude....dude flu? Now let's hope you didn't catch it through the boards here!

Banned from work...I'm hoping you don't work with chickens, pigs or humans!

My cure for flu...cinzanno...a sort of herby alcohol drink...vodka....lemonade and a beechams powder all mixed together to form a pint....it has no basis in medical science .... however from experience after three pints you forget the flu!

Peace dude. :)

Nana always told me, "Feed a cold, starve a flu."  Keep yourself hydrated, of course, which actually means you might be well-advised to avoid alcohol.  Unless you have the "flu," which I've had, of course.

The flu is a lot of aches, pains, fevers, throwing up, and possibly some .. bad behavior .. on the part of later parts of the ol' digestive tract.  Ew.

The "flu," on the other hand, appears to involve voice-acting and a lot of soap operas (my research pre-dates the Miracle of DVR built in to the cable box. :) If I still behaved like that, I'd be watching STTNG or something. Worf rules!)

Tripnastic

Back when I worked on an ambulance, I got a call from a nursing home to take a resident in to the hospital for flu.

As I was talking to him he says "this is all their fault", when I asked who, he said "damn nurses".  When I asked him to elaborate he said:

"you use alcohol to clean things and kill bugs right?"
Me : Yes
"for 40 years I've kept alcohol nearly constantly in my blood. Probably right around .05. I aint never had the flu, a cold, or if I did, didn't know or give a damn. Them damn nurses won't let me drink!"
Me..Dude...
From what is Dudeism trying to liberate us?Thinking that's too uptight.

To what state of being is Dudeism trying to bring us? Just taking it easy, man.

By what means does Dudeism attempt do this? Abiding.

They took away channel 1 after virgin sold it to Murdock (The Fascist), so I don't get my (Naked) Saturday and (Naked) Sunday watching repeats of all the weeks Star Trek that I missed, all back to back. :-(

Further proof that Virgin just don't want me as a customer any more. Oh well i'll just spend my subscription money on the boxed sets (i still have all three of the original series to finish as yet).

Oh BTW hope you get better soon Dude.

That's a bummer, man.  I had the flu a few weeks back.  Thanks to a strict Vitamin D and Monolaurin regimen, I was able to shake it off inside of a week (and I am NOT the kind of person who bounces back from cold or flu with the greatest of ease; usually they hit me the hardest out of my entire family.)

Hope you feel better soon, and Old Duder's pullin' for ya!

A dude friend of mine swears by the rule of "a J a day" gets rid of any cold or flu he has ever had for years. LMAO! Not sure if it really gets rid of his cold or flu or he just can't fucking feel it.  ;D
