@M5 - There was no mistake, Dude - I think Jakubol was responding to the quotation marks around science - intimating that your opinion of BBC science shows are, as Jakubol put it "pseudoscience'. He was behind the line, as far as I can see.

@Jakubol - Seems to me that someone with dyslexia would be under some strain in writing on public forums and so might be somewhat brusque (don't you just love the English language?  ), in reaction, if it appears their piece is being ridiculed. A misunderstanding compounded by the fact that a Dude with dyslexia may not be able to tell if he/she got it right.

No ones intelligence or motives are being questioned here; I feel I should sling a haiku at the situation but, fortunately for you guys, my Muse is elsewhere (probably giving a metaphorical blow-job to CC - bet the Dude doesn't even have to pay  ). So, instead I will leave you with this:

I was eighteen before I could differentiate between phonetically similar words, even to the level of using to, too, and two, interchangeably.

I was twenty nine before i was even diagnosed with a problem.

I have a degree from Durham university (one of the top uni's in the country).

This comment is not clever, and in this country an offence under the disabled discrimination act (and now the Equality Act 2010) when applied to someone like myself who is disabled.

What I do here (especially with the damned spell checker being US not UK) and every day in my job is the equivalent of a double amputee running in an able body persons race.

Being able to consistently get the e and i in the right place does not a genius make you.

Great credentials,  I could'nt go to  college so I went to Penn State,.. on G.I. Bill after watching my buddies face down in the muck. Still can't get my punctuation right or correct.
Now a days(is that one word or three?),  only a real Penn Stater can say that without provoking a threat to stick it up your ass until it goes click. But my first three kids graduated from the new and improved Penn State and are actually successes(sic)
Anyway, back to the moronic condition of tv. Apparently it is in the same sad state in the UK as in the US. However, some of the imported BBC comedies with Ricky Gervais and that dude who sold pot out of his flat, the cop supplied him, cartoon head, forgot the name but it was a hoot. Over here in the colonies we have an overabundence of shit reality shows which make you cringe, and weep for those who watch them. We actually unsubscribed to satellite for several months until my mother moved in to recover from open heart surgery. What else would an 88 year old do while  recovering. Just a rhetorical?.
The best part was our 16 year old twins did not give a shit when we shut it down.
Anyway my point is the topic of this post, "scaremongering by the fascist gov." And a  reference to the first page and post by I think  Dbudda.
A GOOD friend of mine went to a pain specialist from multiple auto accident residual injuries and rec'd multiple flavors of narcotic scripts. Every now and then he took a urine test. After a visit to  a nephew in California who has a medical marijuana card and liimbering up and down, the next test came back positive for the holy herb. Immediately discharged from Dr's roles. Is that ironic? Also rhetorical.
I'll let you and  Cake get  back to fuckin'' with  each other, or whoever posted that your spelling sucked. Just thought I'd give you my opinion, and a little leit motif.  It's Brandt at Mr. Lebowski's office. Second: Even publicly funded TV-channels tend to lower their standards.

That's what I wrote in my post:

I hate people who take piss of others just because they think they're better and I don't do it myself.

In responce to my burying the hatchet I felt attacked for no reason. He made me feel really crappy, honestly.

But now - I accept that it was a misunderstanding.

Meekon - if you felt offended by me in any way I am deeply sorry - that was NEVER my intention, mate!
