Why not just have the Eagles fly over and drop the ring?

Because I hate the fuckin' Eagles man.

Yeah, and I bought the whole series. I'll buy the Hobbit too if/when it comes out.
I read the books way back when and loved them then. Saw a few attempts at turning them into movies, but these were the first  to do the books justice.
And then...and then I saw that video and thought Duhhh!
What the fuck were we thinking!?
The fuckin' Eagles man...the fuckin' Eagles!

Dude, have you heard the 13 part BBC radio drama of the Lord of the Rings? It's fucking awesome. Here is a link to a BitTorrent you can get the series...............

Thanks dude!

No problemo, dude. You'll dig it, it's totally awesome.

The larger files should be in stereo (25 to 50 megs or close per episode), and the smaller files (13 to 15 megs per episode) will probably be mono. Both are floating around the net.

The Hobbit is on the net also, but only in mono as far as I know.

 8) 8) A very cool link, DB - great holiday listening. Indeed, I (try) to keep up with BBC Radio when I can (BBC2/4 worth a listen). For current and older comedy and drama you can hear lots of stuff again via BBC7 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio7/). Of special note, (maybe more for American Dudes) is the BBC cut (no commercials) of Garrison Keillor's Radio Show. An 'old time radio variety' show which usually features world class musicians (bluegrass and such). Good sketches of a laid-back homey (but smart) style. IMHO it is an American cultural gem.  ;D

Yeah, cakedude, it does make for great x-mas listening. Gandolf is a total dude! I bought the CD set years ago and have enjoyed it ever since. It's a total blast to listen to with headphones on. Great audio effects, well produced and awesome acting. They really did a great job on it!

Yeah, for sure, the BBC puts out quality material. Who could forget "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy!" Fucking classic! Don't panic!

Only Douglas Adams could come up with "The Restaurant at the End of the Universe" .........

"when is that going to happen? In about 10 minutes, Sir. Yeah? Yes, Sir. Will Sirs be having drinks, Sir? Wow, what kind of drinks do you serve here?"

CLASSIC STUFF!

Big time fan of radio drama here, dude!

Into sci-fi? The BBC's The Foundation Series by Issac Asimov is very cool. Check out.............

Merry x-mas, dudes!
