Yeah man - very undudely - not sure why they did that; the song is up all over the site and has been for years. Anyway, deleted it (can no longer download your own vids from You Tube) and salvaged this one from the ashes (and the wreckage of another video - software crashes today - a pear-shaped day). Fuck it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2FxT4tcQJM See how long this stays up.  8)  Oh, crank up your volume for this one.

It's because your infringement could possibly stop the rest of us actually buying the track because we can hear it for free. (well thats my take on the usurious money grabbing fascists anyway).

Actually home taping was going to kill the industry off some twenty to thirty years ago, perhaps if we'd tried harder they would all be doing proper jobs instead of worrying over nickels and dimes they were never going to get in the first place.

The Piracy arguments only work if you are a bus company or train company where someone uses your facilities without paying, if they were caught they would have to pay to take the journey.

People who pirate music and films would not necessarily buy the product at the full price. So the record and film industries publishing figures ($1.3 billion in the US, and $6.1 billion worldwide) are a nonsense.

It's actually the industries inability to move with the times and it's unreasonable expectation to continue to dictate how we consume media that is costing them money. For instance the original iTunes setup where they expected everyone to continue to download whole albums not just particular tunes in an attempt to continue to extort money unearned from the public to increase their already sizable profits.

And finally do notice that the figures only reflect an assumed loss in profit when compared to the top ten blockbusters average boxoffice take:

Titanic $ 1,845,034,188
Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King $ 1,118,888,979
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest $ 1,066,179,725
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone $ 976,475,550
Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End $ 961,001,304
Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix $ 938,464,961
The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers $ 926,287,400
Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace $ 924,300,000
Shrek 2 $ 920,665,658
Jurassic Park $ 914,691,118
Total $ 10,591,988,883

Thats just the top ten earners, thats not allowing for all the other movies that also were released at the same time as these above.

All I hear is a bunch of greedy bastards trying to wring more money out of people than they really deserve.

Soap box down and walking away with hands up.

A video by Anonymous remixed (slightly) by me: I changed the audio and added a couple of images: Edit audio disabled by You Tube. May put it up on Mediafire (may not)

Here's a very mellow video (not by me) that I am unofficially dubbing "Dudely Summer 5". Cool channel. The track (my fave) is from Leonard Cohen's album "The Future": http://youtu.be/n_rLVXD55BA
