you guys should contact the fellows over at the film and see if you can urge them to cover british dudeism....

i suspect it might have been a funding issue which has kept them from moving forward. maybe they might be induced to go on a road trip through england.

This is possible, I know I tossed them a few scarps of baksheesh, but I don't know what else they had in and who they were trying to sell the doc. to.  Channel 4 probably (oh dear gods, not Channel 5, dear gods, dear gods!!!).  I'll try and toss an email their way this week if you think it's worth it, guess it can't hurt.  Hope there's a good number of others over here that will want to get involved.

You do?  Famous last words.  Oh well, it was a nice little religious movement you had there, until that awful moment when three bearded southerners came on screen and prompted over 20,000 letters of complaint to the broadcaster for turning their elderly relatives instantly senile and causing fits of epilepsy in children and family pets.  Shane :)

:D  Reading the posts of meekon and Rev Ed C tends to make me feel kinda homesick - now that's a first.

C'mon guys, if it's going to be TV then it has to be BBC4 for Dudeism; I do not know anything about the current state of Brit TV broadcasting but BBC4 (digital) was the only channel worth  a look, when I left.

Forgot to say:
LDD doesn't need any more 'buzz', in my opinion; the great ball is rolling - let the pins fly or remain where they will.

Gun ownership doesn't bother me.  I own a couple of rifles myself.  It doesn't necessarily make someone unDude.
At least I'm housebroken.

Not really bothered about the gun ownership myself, I used to go hunting with a two two rifle with a friend years ago.

I don't know if you've seen the film. It just seemed to focus on the individuals blowing stuff up or shooting it. What seemed to be a genuine interest turned into what I think was just a petty attempt at sensationalism.

Now typical of any media I don't know how much footage was taken to be reduced to what became the film, but there was very little about the Dudeism.

Yeah gun ownership is an over beaten dead horse. I have some guns, nothing special, still like to target shoot, can be quite Zen, like archery. Don't hunt or carry, but I look at them like fire extinguishers, something you hope you never need. But I live in Maine, and bear and other nasty critters are abound.

That and, I hope you all like a good buzz, cause I am working on a few things.
