Great book. Definitely espouses Dudeist principles. And speaking of Pooh - definitely a Dudeist. But I'll go into that more in the forum for suggesting Dudeists. Eventually.

I don't think ever read the tao of anything, besides the columns on this site, is there any place online to read this dudeist literature?

Bill

Don't know where you can read the whole book online.

But here's some pieces/info:

http://www.just-pooh.com/tao.html
http://winnie-the-pooh.ru/online/lib/tao.html
http://d3dw.gweezlebur.com/pooh/

But you can buy it here...  http://www.amazon.com/Tao-Pooh-Wisdom/dp/1405204265/ref=pd_bbs_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1195424685&sr=8-2

And speaking of pooh, here are some quotes from his stories....

?Don't underestimate the value of Doing Nothing, of just going along, listening to all the things you can't hear, and not bothering.?

"When you wake up in the morning, Pooh," said Piglet at last, "what's the first thing you say to yourself?" "What's for breakfast?" said Pooh. "What do you say, Piglet?" "I say, I wonder what's going to happen exciting today?" said Piglet. Pooh nodded thoughtfully. "It's the same thing," he said.

Haha, nice quote man. It's been a long time since I've been exposed to Pooh... probably not since I was just a wee little Dude...

There I mentioned wee and pooh and in the same sentence no less. I feel so mature.

An easy to find book by Benjamin Hoff.  Good reading.  I recommend it.
At least I'm housebroken.

Thats a good fucking book, dude.

Window Lady

I was recently exposed to Pooh, or "The Bear" as we call him, performing very un dude like antics in a nightclub. After witnessing this, I would not read anything by this guy.

digbys kid

Just as there are "dudes" and "The Dude", then there are poohs and The Pooh.

The Pooh does not suffer detractions from the un-Pooh actions of other poohs in nightclubs.  The Pooh Abides.
Is there a Ralph's around here?

I'm sorry but of all the pooh characters wouldn't the lazy donkey classify as most dudely?

The worst book I have ever read would probably be The Time Machine, but that is only because I had to read that for class but if I am reading on my own and I dont like a book after the first few chapters I wont finish reading it.

I think there are elements of dudeness in all of the Poo characters; collectively they are very dude-like.............

...jesus, sounds like something fucking Zen.

Perhaps eeyore was a nihilist? We'll never know...
