oh, you know man. i noticed the dude had a problem resulting from his outward opening door. i've got one off those. i find it beneficial to tie a guitar cable to my  doorknob, and then to my cabinet.

At first I thought you were going to say
I find it beneficial on my guitar case. (to have an outward opening door).
That would be good.

Well, I got only two words of advice on this subject:

1)  If it's a front door that opens onto a corridor, or a public walk way, don't open it too fast or you might lay out a neighbour.

2)  If it's a backdoor... look out of it :)  Creedence can't be wrong on this one!

Why not put a sign on the inside of the door saying "IN" and a sign on the outside of the door saying "OUT".

It'll remind you that the outside world sucks and that you're better off on the couch.

My advice dude....just walk through said door after trying it...if you hurt yourself...stay in...if you don't .... go out....seems to work for me most days...and hey unlike science....this way you will always get a result.  8)

Enjoy the ride man.
