So it's not a widely-known fact(I'm pretty new here) that I'm a student at Texas State University in San Marcos, TX where I work a shitty minimum-wage job as a glorified babysitter for a company that owns/operates group homes for adults with mental handicaps/mental retardation/what-have-you. I recently got suspended because of one of the residents of the house I work at running off in the middle of the night. While the various state-agencies finish up their investigations(I found out i've been cleared of any fault, they just need a final green-light or something) I've been suspended from work for just over a week now.

Like a fucking miracle, I found that there was an extra college fund that my mum had established for me years ago, and she decided to NOW(after 4 years of me more-or-less working my own way through school) cash this in, and pay my rent/tuition for the semester. So, with money not being as huge of an issue, and with a mandatory vacation on my hands, I decided to go along to Oklahoma, where my special-lady-friend goes to school. The actual details of the lodgings and such are a kinda convoluted case: lot of ins, lot of outs and what-have-you. But that's about all the innerduction this story needs.

I'll admit that we've been on separate schedules(she is in the band and has early-morning rehearsals, I have nothing to do but play around on my computer while I'm here), we've only engaged in the zesty, natural enterprise (by which I mean coitus) twice in the week, despite having no-one else around to even possibly interrupt, and we've been arguing a bunch.

Now I'm realizing that I've been very un-dude in being so irritable and quick to be defensive this week. But I'm realizing it's because I'm afraid of missing her, and feeling those negative emotions. Writing this down has forced me to realize why I've been so lost these past few days. I hereby announce to you, my compeers of the Church of the Latter-Day Dude, that I will just come clean about this, and once again be able to take it easy with my special-lady-friend.
