OK here goes:

My flat roof leaks.

To fix the roof I have to move my mortgage (to increase it).

To move the mortgage I must move an insurance.

To move the insurance I have to have a medical.

The medical suggests I have too high a blood sugar level.

My Doctor sends me a letter inviting me to another medical two days before I receive the letter. they we not too amused when I told them the only problem I had with the appointment was I can't travel back in time.

So I have to attend the outpatients department for the medical.

I turn up (having taken the day off work) only to be told "Oh you should have been fasting for the last twelve hours, we can't do this test now".

So I have to re-arrange the medical (taking the day off work again).

Whilst this is going on I am told by my financial guy that the solicitor was waiting for my response to their letter about the "charge" mortgage company wants to make if I don't give them a months notice of moving the mortgage.

I find the letter at home when I get there after the conversation with my financial guy.

So I have the medical, wait the month, money going to clear Friday the 13th (only unlucky if you happen to be a Knights Templar).

Did I mention the last two months are only the wettest in recorded history, and I have a leaking roof.

So Last Friday comes and I'm at the cash point (ATM) seven in the morning, imagine my annoyance at finding the money is not in the bank, so I storm off to go and buy breakfast, only to discover that I've left my ATM card in the machine.
