I know what the fucking abbreviation stands for, I fucking went to college, and on my two legs, yes, yes - even if I don't remember a lot, but I still just don't see how the picture fits in.

Also, Dudes, I don't want to split hairs but

q.e.d. can mean two things
First: Quod essit demonstrandum = What (still) has to be proven/demonstrated showing scepticism. (some future conditional stuff: What "were" to be demonstrated - but I suppose that doesn't work in English)

Second: Quod erat demonstrandum = what was to be proven/demonstrated (and now is), you use it to finish a line of arguments.

It doesn't fucking mean "fucking obvious" - and least not where I come from.

God dammit! Is there a philologist around here?

Anydude have special plans for New Years Eve? I have always found it (the turn of the year) a bit of a drag, myself. Being surrounded by puking, stumbling revelers - desperate to have fun because, y'know, 'new years eve' man". Anyway, as for myself, being a family Dude (relatively new to it) I have no plans but may have an oat soda. I have the dark shadow (third week of Jan) of my 49th birthday coming up so maybe I have crossed the sad old git line. So, what you all going to be up to?
