This is kind of like wishful thinking and my own personal tribute to one of the greatest movies ever made, and also to make fun of my friend Steve who thinks I wear Tapout and Affliction t-shirts.

Edit: Actually after reading my story again, it doesn't make a lot of sense. If The Dude's bowling alley ever closed down, I'm pretty sure he would just say "bummer man" and then find another spot to bowl, not go all the way to Washington to fight it. But since his son was a congressman there, you could probably work it in somehow to get him motivated enough to make the journey. Plus with Brandt, Walter and Jesus helping along the way, anything could be possible.

I have been emailing with Paul...the author of the Blasphemous article and was half expecting him to join us and defend himself from our onslaught.
He did write that it was mostly wishful thinking on his part and an attempt to perhaps goad the Coen brothers into making a real sequel...much the same reason for The Lennon's an mine for writing The Little Lebowski.
It was not meant to be a "joke" he claims...but it went viral before he had a chance to write the disclaimer.

It does in fact show how all the world Loves TBL and are crying for a true sequel. But I do not blame the Coen brothers for not giving in to the pressure...they are smart enough to know how Not to ruin a good thing. It doesn't matter how good a sequel would be...it would never measure up to the magic of The Big Lebowski...and they know it.
Yeah, it would probably be an instant box office smash hit...making tons of money... but the Coen brothers are rich beyond imagination and don't need the money.
