Bowled the Senior Pro-Am on Saturday. I didn't cash, but at least I didn't embarrass myself too badly. 187, 181, 159. I was second high of the 4 senior men on our pair of lanes, except for the pros of course. I didn't bring the right ball.
I called to ask what the oil was going to be and was told it would "probably" be the THS (typical house shot); which I had practiced on last Thursday, so I only took the 2 balls that worked best on that oil. Well, it was definitely Not the THS. I think it was more like the PBA Chameleon long and heavy oil pattern the pros bowl on. Since I'm a stroker I don't get many revs on my ball so I don't get much hook on long and heavy oil...by the middle of the second game, with all the carry down, I wasn't getting any hook at all. Basically trying to throw straight at the pocket but not doing so well and leaving splits.

Saw Mark Roth who is looking real good after his stroke; he even threw a few balls, and Johnny Petraglia bowled on the lanes next to us.

So other than not bowling well, I met a few of the Pros; who were really nice, and bowled with a bunch of really nice guys, and all in all had a good time.

Oh, by the way...did I mention it was a No Tap?!

Damn, you guys truly are bowlers! Last time I bowled (last year) I lost about everything... I totally stink!

Well Outer Element dude, that is what video editing software is for! I edited out all the gutter balls and ringing 10 pins!

Yeah, I figured, but still very dudely work, man. I'm not afraid to admit I'm a pretty terrible bowler, so I admire the straight shooters.
