I miss those John Goodman Dunkin' Donuts commercials. His voice always made me want to grab a donut and coffee. He was the first to say that sorry slogan "America runs on Dunkin'" Then he quit and lost like 1000 pounds. LOL.

I have that problem if I smoke a J and then watch the shopping channel. I find it very difficult not to buy stuff in that state of mind.

I get the feeling that the Dude would try anything once. He wouldn't be a binger--he would eat as much as he was hungry for, then return to his Caucasian. While his natural diet would be easy American, if someone set something in the nature of haute cuisine in front of him, he would find it durned innarestin'. He might even savor it the way he does a j. However, the most complicated dish he would make for himself would be a bowl of cereal.

When you ask, "What Would The Dude Eat?" I think about ease of process more than whether his food is processed. Which brings me to m5's point about practicing religion. Takin' 'er easy in the kitchen is what he does. What he eats is the result, which is just as likely to be a can of stewed tomatoes as a bag of pork rinds.

first of all..i commented on this in another post without realizing it was a separate topic..is OK..nothing's fucked here..i'm just an AMATEUR!

Anyway, I also stated in another post that i tend to pick up lifestyle cues from my father...he's almost 90 so I'm hoping his genes will fit snugly around my biological what-have-ya...anyway, my father has always had the strangest dietary habits but they work for him...he grew up on southern food and continues to enjoy deep fried fish every week (and that IS meat to him), butter pecan ice cream which he sometimes eats out of the carton, daily dr peppers (of which I carry on as a proud tradition)...

he does eat veggies out of his own garden so maybe there's a lesson there..seems like he follows a dudeist path..moderation ..take it easy and enjoy... unfortunately i am given to salty chip binges but i enjoy raw veggies and fruit just as much...

I've heard a lot of good things about these primal diets..lower carbs,...lots of sat fat...meat..supposedly based on humankind's naturally evolved preferences (assumes that grain based agriculture was kind of the downfall of our nutrition)..

anyway, enjoy....listen to your body and..this may sound nasty, but pay attention to the ..umm..end product..if you shit in the woods like the pope with regularity and without difficulty...you're probably right on...

I think we could probably surmise that the Dude, being a latter-day hippie, would still be into hippie food - granola and such. You know, tofu, tempeh, maybe almond milk. Whole wheat bread. Oh, and don't forget those special brownies!

I actually think the Dude might be veggie as he doesn't eat one of those famous in n out burgers....he's either veggie or just not hungry!

I really really want one of those burgers but they don't have a franchise over here.

DUDE Likes Burgers, Tacos, Burritos, Ramen, and Tuna Sandwiches to go with his White Russians (Caucasians). Just got my copy of The DUDES COOKBOOK "GOT ANY KAHLUA The Collected Recipes of the DUDE" It's awesome. Funny as Hell! I made Dudes Cowboy Chili and Burritos... Sweet!
