It's that high because of taxes and fuel duty...we import most of our fuel but even so we pay the most per gallon in the world. So basically it's just tax!

And DB I only drive to work and to see Chantelle in the care home....around 500 miles a month and about  ?120 from my wallet...my road tax is ?240 a year and my insurance is ?500...have you seen the state of our roads? The potholes at the moment have totalled my wide rimmed alloys and they aint cheap to replace either!
