But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you?ve got to ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well do ya, punk?"

I agree with Revgms,   Clint Eastwood is a total dude. Just look at the films he has directed. All pro life, and dudelyness, even if they come with a bit of watch your ass or I'll blast you one.

ceasar dude-  he is an actor lets not forget but watch a few of his interviews. He's a big softy in the real world. (not that dudes are soft- we kick ass and take names when the time is right) it's just the things he talks about are very do thy self nature.

Gotta admit, being a part of the greatest non religious story ever told is pretty awesome too.  ( YOJIMBO-A FIST FULL OF DOLLARS-LAST MAN STANDING, ETC) 

In fact, I've had my eye on revgms comments for awhile, this might be the pick of the litter.  I applaud you sir. Clint EastWood is deffinately a DUDE.

I just don't get that at all. She is one of the most "Walter" people I can think of. Maybe worse than that. Yuck. Since when is being offensive a "Dude" quality? I am sure glad more women aren't like her, and I certainly don't find her to be attractive or funny in any way. She just seems mean.

I think calling her a "Walter" is giving her too much credit, dude. Walter was an asshole but at least he could get shit done when the chips were down. I think I'll put Sarah Silverman in the "Knox Harrington" category. You all remember him right? The video-artist with the cleft asshole who's giggling incessantly at Maude's pad? I remember trying to watch that Sarah Silverman show, had no clue who the woman was at the time. I couldn't stand to watch it for more than about 10 minutes. Her humor is vulgar and juvenile. At least I can say I gave her an unbiased chance.

Oh man, I love the Sarah Silverman program. The point is obviously that she's acting as undude as possible. I think that her intelligence and irony and willingness to poke fun at herself (and everyone) makes her by far the most Dudely female comedian out there.

There's long been a complaint (From Adam Corolla, Christopher Hitchens and others) that women aren't as funny as men. I think they can be but they're often hindered by the fact that they're reluctant to be too unladylike. Silverman shows that it's okay for women to be as crass and rude as any male comedian. And of course, being crass and rude is only undude if it's done for cheap laughs. I think SS does it in the way that Larry David is rude to show how we are all a little bit ashamed of our internal monologue. It's sort of cathartic.

Knox Harrington, on the other hand, is a symbol for the smugness and vacancy of modern art. It's implied that his art is hollow and self-serving. I don't think that's the case with Silverman. Her shows and routines deftly skewer so much about humanity and the dark side of what it is to be human.

Certainly we get a lot of people claiming she's not a Dude and should be stricken from the list. But I think that it's just that a lot of people find her way too ironic for comfort. Which is understandable. At some point we may indeed have to remove her because this is a free religion after all. Don't want to be a fascist about it.

And let us not forget his work with Jeff Bridges in Thunderbolt and Lightfoot (Great Flick) which JB recieved the oscar nomination.

    There's a difference between poking fun at yourself and making a vulgar spectacle of yourself. Perhaps off-screen she really is a loveable person who acts totally normal, but I don't think a woman has to act gross and stupid to be funny. That's just me, dude. It's the same with Stephen Colbert for me. I've read some of the things he's written and it's quite witty and humorous, but I absolutely cannot stand his show because the character he invented for it is unbearable to watch. When he's out of character, he's brilliant.

Todd Snider, Singer/Songwriter is definitely a Dude. Just listen to his songs - pure Dude poetry!  Naturally he smokes a lot of pot and always performs barefoot. You go, Todd!!!
