I think it's a good idea to have more topics, but now i feel there are too many , the board is too big, and a lot of the categories are too similar??!

My 2 cents, submitted humbly:

Combine General discussion into Gen. comments, dump General category completely, put The Dudespaper up at the top where it belongs. Turn all of the Under the Influences sub-categories into threads in one category, put it in Dudeist Religion.

Combine Lebowskian Theory and Symbolism, call it The Da Fino Code or Gnostic Dudeism.

There is a simple trade off, more threads means more clutter and searching, but it also means more ideas may emerge. Also, more categories will go stale, we don't have enough people posting here as it is.

Thanks for the suggestions. Always welcome. I did combine the "under the influences" together as a subcategory under "Dudeist relgion" which I think was a good idea. Not sure about combining the general category and the general category for comments on the site. There's Dudeism and then there's the web page itself which are kind of different.

It's my hope that more categories will inspire people to write more. But I could be wrong.

Am I wrong?

You're not wrong. I agree that more topics will inspire more writing, and the most recent category compacting cleaned it up a bit. I would say just roll with it for a while and adjust depending on what's popular and what could use room for growth.

Forum dude, the new additions really tie the room together, mang. Nice new dudeism chat pad additions, completely unspoiled. I dig the way you do business. Personally I think the new additions are the next logical step for this family restaurant to grow.

Its always nice to know that no matter how much time you spend occupying various, um, administration buildings, smoking thai-stick, breaking into the ROTC and bowling that you can hang out at the dudeism forum and have a dude time reading some good shit and soaking up some dude like wisdom. Far fucking out, forum dude.

OK then.
