@Uber Dude & M5: I think quite a few of us were aware (and occasional abusers) of the haiku form/genre, already - some weren't; whatever, I am really digging what Dudes are coming up with.

Enjoyed yours, M5 - any more? Kudos for getting the ball rolling, Uber. It might be a good idea - just rolling here - at some point (a few months, year) to collect Dude scribblings (on various threads) with a view to publishing a book. To be sold to raise funds for a Dude project (any more news on the Dude Internet Site?) or KIVA, or some such. I dunno, a Forum Annual*, perhaps - with art work. musings - you all know the type of thing (I'm thinking of Python books for inspiration).

* or Dudeism Annual - with 'best' Dudespaper articles of the year, too.

For some reason I thought the Tao of The Dude was done and dusted (save for editing) - don't know why I thought that. If they are still looking for stuff - sure, why not. I still like the idea of an annual publication, though - think it would be fun.

Spam: I reported this fucker yesterday - appears to be dedicating a lot of time to pissing us off (a pissed-off christy? dude with a grudge or just a bot? seems personal). Anyway, fuck it - can't keep pace with latest posts)

Possibly, but then there's a danger that the dude-kus may be kinda contrived (to fit into a category); or a sense may develop that they are being judged worthy of book inclusion - and so lose any spontaneity/fun. Then I could be over-thinking it. Fuck it, do other Dudes wanna roll on this idea?

Shit dude, all haikus are contrived. Just go ahead a do it cakes. Set it up somewhere on the forum then wait to see who rolls.
I think once the dudes get the basic idea you should have at least a few contributing...maybe. But ya gotta remember rev cakebelly sir, this IS the dudeist forum...low standards and even lower expectations and all that!

You could be right, there, CC - you could be right; I can't get comfy on my rug today. As to doing it I guess that's what we've been doing. If Uber wants to set up a category or two we could see how we go (in my head I'll be rolling with the annual idea, though).

I guess we should first come up with topic ideas. How formal or informal you want those topics to be is the question. I'm thinking things like, Departed Dudes, Dudeism, Oat Soda, Bowling, Driving Around, Great Dudes, The Dude Himself, Acid Flashback (for the ones that really don't make sense or are about actual flashbacks), The Female Form, Aggression, Nihaliasts, Human Paraquats, etc.... chime in everybody...
