Was something in the film edited out?  Why was the Dude so stoked after his visit to the doctor?  Did he take care of his sperm count exam "manually" as he specified or was there something more that I missed.  Help a dude out.

I think he knew that he was about to help Maude conceive with some zesty coitus...I would have been happy too.

that's a good theory DB;  perhaps his surprise at Maudes yoga moves to increase chance of conception was a carefully seeded (no pun intended) bit of socratic irony? Maybe our dude is just little more 'cheeky' (as you folk on the other side of the lake say) than let on.

Maybe the doctor didn't check the dude's caboose, rather was checking the dude's sperm count and the size of his johnson to make sure he was ready for Maude? Which would explain why he was having a good time on the way home; the expectation of a good time tonight. I.e., Maude will be dropping by to conceive, man. He didn't seem to want her to conceive (spits out Caucasian..."let me tall ya something about the dude"), but wasn't above some nice zesty coitus either with his lady friend.

I ass umed that the dude had been violated and forced to ejaculate. In order that the doc could get a sperm sample.

Only from the fact that he was sterile would he have been allowed to copulate with Maude. Given the doctors approval of course.

To me he passed the test! But only the doctor knew. The Dudes reaction in the bedroom said something else to me.

IMDO The dude had just had a revelation...a .finger in the ass had made him release his dudely sperm and he needed to think about it with a spliff and some Creedence! Or at the very least get over a traumatic experience!
