Perhaps a stoopid question for all us achievers, but if the Dude is unemployed, how can he afford a constant supply of vodka and Kahlua? Granted, half and half is only 69c a quart at Ralph's (...I wish). But that, plus his bowling fees, and all those oat sodas...

Based on the movie, one could say most of his White Russians were made in locations other than his apartment, but still... he had a good supply on his tiki bar.

Maybe make your own booze? Oat soda can be done by the jug pretty cheap and depending where you live you could set up to do your own vodka. I think maybe if you where to make your own vodka in the US it might fall under religious freedoms to do so if its for you own white russians. You would have to get caught then argue it in court so that would be a PIA but I would assume anyone who is not human paraquat would not have a problem with it.

I am not much of a drinker but found brewing up stuff to be relaxing. One unemployed friend of mine currently hits the dumpster at a fruit store and makes dumpster wine. He pulls stuff that is still in boxes and just past sell-ability so its not like it even touched the dumpster. I like hitting the place to feed my worms.

I'm thinking that this wasn't the dudes first rodeo man. I know plenty of dudes that keep themselves in khalua and vodka by picking up the odd job here and there. Little of this.. Little of that...
