I've seen a lot of videos with The Dudely Llama going about in the brown bathrobe, but I wonder about the clothing aspect of our noble enterprise. Are there any particular clothes that you don when you're bowling, or when you're just chilling out when you take a moment to see what condition your condition is in?

I think perhaps that the clothes of The Dude, while comfortable and iconic as the character himself, are often overplayed, and worn less in honor of the dude-way, but as an attention-grabbing "Look at me, I'm dressed like Jeff Bridges was in 'The Big Lebowski'!", without consideration to what they can genuinely represent. I think that the comfort in one's clothes can represent one's comfort with the world, and the ability to abide all that is, and all that becomes. To rephrase, "The bathrobe is not the issue here!"


Do we have an ideal set of clothing? Or is comfort the main goal? Do you wear anything in particular to bowl, or to conduct Priestly duties?

Pretty much whatever feels good man.  Most days after work I roll around on shorts and t shirt and flip flops in summer time when out.  When home swap the flip flops for some slippers.  About as dude as it can get if you're into the slacker chic sorta thing.

Just underwear. (I work from home.)  When I go get the paper, I'll put my hair into a pony tail, but that's about it.

.  That's awesome!  I wish I could work from home.   I would be set!

Haha.  Fair enough.  That's not all bad though.  Just means less chance of running into paraquats. 

Ya, haven't had any rug-pissers come my way for a long time!  Mind you, a beach party with topless girls on trampolines would get me out of the house...

  I could be ok with topless girls on a trampoline...  I think my wife might allow that.       

Man, a real robe, like something out of old movies or Star Wars, would be pretty svelt.  But I don't want anything fancy, so it's hard to find.

Basically, a bath robe that isn't a bath robe. 

You know, if we could get a good deal on bowling shirts with embroidered "Ordained Dudeist Priest" on them, that would be like far out. Like far out past Pluto.

No fooling, dudes, I'd wear it.
